This vent adapter is to be used to compensate for the space left around the vent hole when the vent opening is too big. This may occur when you are replacing a furnace that used a larger vent. It can also be used to extend the flue terminal when used on homes with vinyl siding so the vent cap lies flat. It is for use with 17735 and 29035 Direct Vent Gas Heaters.
